Youth Corps Singapore

“I get a lot of inspiration from volunteering in the youth sector. They are the source of my inspiration, in fact, because of their ideas, passion and energies. A lot of young people now are keener to start their own projects, and are not afraid of initiating projects about doing small things that make a little difference but add up to the larger difference over time.”

Ms Natalie Morris, National Youth Council

The Youth Corps Singapore is well underway, with its first intake of youth volunteers in June 2014. The Youth Corps programme will match youth volunteers with critical community needs, and help them make sustained and meaningful contributions to society.

As a Youth Corps member, you can look forward to:

  • Quality structured training in service learning;
  • Impactful and meaningful volunteering experiences;
  • Broad-based support to carry out community projects; and
  • Good networking opportunities with other like-minded youths.

The National Youth Council (NYC) will also provide valuable opportunities for youth corps members to represent Singapore in overseas youth exchanges such as those in ASEAN and the UN.

Recruitment for the pilot intake is ongoing. We are looking for youths with strong leadership qualities, commitment to serving the community and the desire to learn.

We encourage those who are passionate about impacting their communities to apply. Visit NYC’s website for more information.
