Minister for Culture, Community and Youth Grace Fu visits Hong Kong to strengthen ties through culture, sports and youth

1. Minister for Culture, Community and Youth Grace Fu will be travelling to the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) of the People’s Republic of China, from 26 – 29 Nov 2017. 

2. Minister Fu will attend the inaugural Singapore Family Day in Hong Kong, and speak at the 10th Asia Cultural Co-operation Forum (ACCF). Minister Fu will also be calling on HKSAR Chief Executive Mrs Carrie Lam, and Secretary for Home Affairs Mr Lau Kong-wah, to strengthen the bilateral ties between the two cities in the areas of culture, sports and youth.

Singapore Family Day in Hong Kong

3. Minister Fu will be attending the Singapore Family Day in Hong Kong on 26 Nov 2017 (Sun) at the Singapore International School in Hong Kong (SISHK). The Singapore Family Day is organised with support from Overseas Singaporeans as well as the Singapore Consulate-General in Hong Kong. In support of the national SG Cares movement, proceeds collected at the event will be donated to the Community Chest to benefit Singapore families in need.

10th Asia Cultural Co-operation Forum (ACCF)

4. On 28 Nov 2017 (Tue), Minister Fu will be speaking at the 10th ACCF, organised by the HKSAR Home Affairs Bureau (HAB). Minister Fu will speak as part of a ministerial panel on the theme of Cultural Sustainability in a Dynamic World: Connecting Diversity.

5. Minister Fu will also be visiting the Hong Kong Museum of History, the Hong Kong Sports Institute (HKSI), West Kowloon Cultural District, and the Youth Square.
