You Ling is currently the Director of Urban Design (Central Area North) at the Urban Redevelopment Authority. Her work involves the formulation of urban design plans and planning policies for the Central area to help shape a vibrant and sustainable cityscape for Singapore.

Her aspirations for Somerset Belt is for it to be the place where new ideas constantly emerge, with high energy and youthful vibes. She hopes to shape Somerset Belt into a place where the youths want to be – not just for an Instagram moment, but as an endearing place to realise their dreams and aspirations.
