Bicentennial Community Fund

The $200M Bicentennial Community Fund (BCF) has been set up to encourage all to embrace the spirit of SG Cares by giving back to our community as part of the Singapore Bicentennial commemoration.

From 1 Apr 2019 till 31 Dec 2020 (from 31 Mar 2020 previously), donations to Institutions of a Public Character (IPCs) will be matched dollar-for-dollar through the BCF, up to a cap of $400,000 per IPC. This is subject to eligibility conditions.

The BCF aims to provide greater support to more than 600 registered IPCs to-date. It also encourages IPCs to engage potential donors and volunteers, and encourage more people to be a part of their service journey. The IPCs can then better meet diverse needs of the community, regardless of race, language or religion.

As more people work alongside IPCs to tackle societal issues and help vulnerable members in our community, we are growing Singapore Cares (SG Cares), a national movement that represents the values and goodwill of our people, and ensure that no one gets left behind.

The administrator for BCF is the National Volunteer & Philanthropy Centre (NVPC).
