女士们、先生们:

1. 大家上午好！

2. 今天非常荣幸受邀出席庆祝中新苏州工业园区建设二十周年的开工仪式。

3. 近年来，园区致力于推动转型升级，鼓励科技创新以及发展高新技术产业。

4. 在今天开业、开工的企业皆为中国新兴的优秀科技企业。在座的众多企业选择在园区落户，对园区的服务及未来的发展前景可以说给予了充分的肯定。

5. 新中最高领导层会面时，都会提到苏州工业园区，认为这是新中紧密合作的旗舰合作项目。因此，苏州工业园也扮演了促进新中两国关系的重要基石。 二十年来，双方在政府、人员、企业等多层面交流频繁。中新在苏州工业园区的合作也随着工业园区的发展与时俱进。从早期的规划建设、招商引资，发展到了今日在现代服务业、金融、科技成果转化及智慧城市等各方面的合作。在培训方面，园区借鉴了新加坡软件的内容也不断深化，进一步推动了园区的转型升级。至今，已有近3千名苏州及园区的官员赴新加坡参与培训。在投资方面，新加坡在园区投资的企业也与日俱增，有越来越多新加坡企业利用园区作为孵化器，拓展中国业务。我们可以从中找到不少中方在苏州工业园区项目的创新想法或措施，让新加坡也学习和受惠不浅。这进一步地见证苏州工业园区是新中双方互惠互利的合作项目。

6. 中新苏州工业园二十周年，对苏州工业园区的建设来说， 是一个重要的里程碑。园区的核心竞争力源于中新合作、软件借鉴和体制的不断创新与深化拓展。近年来，园区的发展经验也成功地向中国的其他地区辐射并复制。展望未来，在两国领导的指导下，园区将不断加强竞争力，为投资者建设一个亲商、宜居的环境。

1. Good morning everyone!

2. Today, I am very honoured to be invited to the 20th anniversary celebrations of the China-Singapore Suzhou Industrial Park (SIP).

3. In recent years, the SIP has been committed to the process of industrial upgrading by encouraging technologically innovative and high-tech development industries.

4. Many of the new enterprises starting business today are China's outstanding technology companies. As all of you have chosen to locate your business here, I am sure you have full confidence in the SIP's future.

5. The China-Singapore Suzhou Industrial Park is a flagship bilateral cooperation project between our two governments. For over two decades, there have been frequent exchanges between the two sides at government, people, and business levels. Our bilateral cooperation has also evolved with Suzhou's changing developmental needs, and moved beyond township development and investment promotion into other new areas, including modern services, financial cooperation, R&D, and smart city development. As for training, the SIP takes reference from Singapore's continually evolving software of economic management and public administration experience to push ahead with its transformation efforts. To-date, almost 3,000 Suzhou and Park officials have gone to Singapore for training. In terms of investment, Singapore's investment in the Park has been increasing; there are more and more Singapore enterprises using the Park as an 'incubator', before expanding their business in China. Through this partnership, Singapore has observed many innovative ideas and measures, that we have learnt and benefitted from. This is a testimony of the SIP being a mutually beneficial cooperation for both countries.

6. The 20th anniversary is a milestone for the Suzhou Industrial Park. The SIP's core competencies lie in the close partnership between the two countries, in terms of sharing resources to innovate and develop. In recent years, the SIP's experience has been successfully replicated in other parts of China. Looking ahead, I am certain that the Park will continue to enhance its competitiveness under the guidance of the two countries' leaders, to create a pro-business and liveable environment for its investors.
