Mr Lawrence Wong will be attending the Asia Cultural Co-operation Forum on 14 November 2013.
Acting Minister for Culture, Community and Youth, Mr Lawrence Wong, will be visiting the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (SAR) from 13 November to 15 November 2013.
Mr Wong will be attending the Asia Cultural Co-operation Forum on 14 November 2013. The Forum’s theme is “Literature and Cultural Vibrancy”, and it aims to foster and enhance partnership between governments, and facilitate collaborations in cultural and arts industries. Cultural ministers will also share their insights about literature and cultural vibrancy at the Forum.
In Hong Kong SAR, Mr Wong will visit the West Kowloon Cultural District (WKCD), a district that will see more than 17 separate arts, performance and entertainment facilities being built, including the centre for visual arts, the "M+ Museum". In addition, he will make a visit to the Media 21 (M21) facility, one of the key youth training projects of the Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups (HKFYG). Sponsored by the Hong Kong Jockey Club, the M21 provides facilities in audio and visual and new media education. While in Hong Kong, Mr Wong will also be meeting with Singaporeans staying in Hong Kong at a Townhall Session.
Mr Wong will be meeting with Mrs Carrie Lam, Chief Secretary for Administration of the Hong Kong SAR and several other government officials.
He will be accompanied by officials from the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth, the National Arts Council and the National Library Board.
