Mr Lawrence Wong will be in Bhutan from 2 to 4 Dec 2013, at the invitation of Prime Minister Lyonchhen Tshering Tobgay.

  1. Acting Minister for Culture, Community and Youth, Mr Lawrence Wong, will be visiting the Kingdom of Bhutan from 2 December to 4 December 2013, at the invitation of His Excellency Lyonchhen Tshering Tobgay, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bhutan. 

  2. Mr Wong’s visit aims to strengthen Singapore’s bilateral relations with Bhutan, as well as to explore further cooperation with the Bhutanese in the areas of arts, heritage, sports, information and communications technology development, as well as youth and community engagement. During the trip, Mr Wong will call on Prime Minister Lyonchhen Tshering Tobgay and the Minister for Home and Cultural Affairs Damchoe Dorji. 

  3. Mr Wong will be accompanied by officials from the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
