Minister for Culture, Community and Youth and Second Minister for Law Edwin Tong will be speaking as part of a ministerial panel on the theme "promoting cultural exchange" at the 12th Asia Cultural Co-operation Forum

12 December 2022 – Minister for Culture, Community and Youth and Second Minister for Law Edwin Tong will be traveling to the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) of the People’s Republic of China, from 12 – 16 Dec 2022 for the 12th Asia Cultural Co-operation Forum (ACCF).

  1. On 14 Dec 2022 (Wed), Mr Tong will be speaking at the 12th ACCF, organised by the Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau (CSTB) of HKSAR. Since 2003, the biennial forum has been held to foster and enhance regional and cultural co-operation, and promote wider participation in culture and the arts.

  2. Mr Tong will speak as part of a ministerial panel on the theme “promoting cultural exchange”. His presentation will touch on how arts and cultural businesses in Singapore can leverage Intellectual Property (IP) to enable unique content creation, and promoting cultural exchanges.

  3. Mr Tong will also be calling on HKSAR Secretary for Culture, Sports and Tourism Kevin Yeung, Secretary for Home and Youth Affairs Alice Mak and Secretary for Justice Paul Lam, to strengthen bilateral ties between the two cities in the areas of culture, sports, youth and law.
