Minister Grace Fu to visit Paris, France from 4 to 6 November 2015

Minister Grace Fu will visit Paris, France, from 4 to 6 November 2015. During the visit, Ms Fu will attend the 38th Session of the UNESCO General Conference, in her capacity as Chair of the Singapore National Commission for UNESCO.

  1. Minister for Culture, Community and Youth, Ms Grace Fu will visit Paris, France, from 4 to 6 November 2015. During the visit, Ms Fu will attend the 38th Session of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) General Conference, in her capacity as Chair of the Singapore National Commission for UNESCO.

  2. The UNESCO General Conference determines the policies and the main lines of work of the organisation. It meets every two years and is attended by representatives from its Member States and observers from intergovernmental and non-governmental organisations.  Ms Fu will be delivering Singapore’s National Statement at the General Conference. During the trip, Ms Fu is also expected to meet with UNESCO Director-General Ms Irina Bokova, counterparts from Member States, and also leaders from the French cultural sector.

  3. Ms Fu will be accompanied by officials from the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth, Ministry of Communications and Information, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and National Heritage Board.
