Minister of State Sam Tan to visit Nanning, Guangxi from 13 - 17 September 2014

During the visit, Mr Tan will attend the 9th ASEAN-China Cultural Forum. The ASEAN-China Cultural Forum is a platform that enhances cultural exchange and cooperation between ASEAN and China.

  1. Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office and the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth, Sam Tan will visit Nanning, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, from 13 to 17 September 2014. During the visit, Mr Tan will attend the 9th ASEAN-China Cultural Forum.

  2. The ASEAN-China Cultural Forum is a platform that enhances cultural exchange and cooperation between ASEAN and China. It is also part of the China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO) and related meetings. The upcoming 9th ASEAN-China Cultural Forum is a key project of 2014 ASEAN-China Cultural Exchange Year. Its theme this year is “Management and Practices of International Arts Festivals”. Singapore is this year’s Country-of-Honour for the 11th CAEXPO, and Mr Tan will be delivering the opening address at the Forum.

  3. Mr Tan will be accompanied by officials from the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth and the National Arts Council.
