Singaporeans encouraged to display National Flag from 1 July to 30 Sept 2025 as part of National Day celebrations

  1. 27 June 2025 (Singapore) – In celebration of Singapore’s 60th National Day this year, all Singaporeans are encouraged to display the National Flag during the National Day celebration period from 1 July 2025 to 30 September 2025.

  2. During this period, all organisations and households may display the National Flag at their offices, building premises, and residential premises. The Rules for flying and displaying the National Flag are relaxed during this period - the Flag may be flown without a flagpole and night illumination.

  3. The National Flag is Singapore’s most visible symbol of statehood and a symbol of our national unity and resilience. It should be treated with respect and used in an appropriate and dignified manner. Torn or worn-out Flags should not be displayed and should be packed into a sealed black trash bag before being disposed of, and not left visible in dustbins.   4. As Singapore marks its 60th year of independence, the display of our National Flag takes on special significance. It represents not just our sovereignty, but also the shared values that unite us as one people, and our shared commitment to build our future together. 

  5. As part of the NDP 2025 celebrations, the NDP 2025 Executive Committee (EXCO) is partnering with Shopee on the Fly Our Flag initiative. This initiative enables households across Singapore to conveniently redeem free National Day flags through the Shopee platform. Each redemption is limited to one per household, and it will run till 15 July 2025, 11.59am, or while stocks last. This effort aims to make it easier for families to come together and proudly display the flag as a symbol of our shared identity and national pride.
