Response to parliamentary questions on the tracking of ethnicity of audience members who attend Arts and Cultural Activities.

PQ 6144. Ms Usha Chandradas: To ask the Minister for Culture, Community and Youth (a) whether the Ministry tracks the number of Chinese audience members who attend the performances, shows or exhibitions of arts groups of ethnic minorities who conduct such activities (i) showcasing their respective minority cultures or (ii) in a language other than English or Mandarin; and (b) if so, what are the recent statistics.

Ms Usha Chandradas: To ask the Minister for Culture, Community and Youth (a) whether the Ministry tracks the number of non-Chinese audience members who attend the performances, shows or exhibitions of Chinese arts groups who conduct such activities (i) showcasing Chinese culture; or (ii) in a language other than English; and (b) if so, what are the recent statistics.

The Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth (MCCY) does not collect data on the ethnicity of audience members who attend at each performance.
