Visit by Minister of State, Prime Minister's Office and Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth, Mr Sam Tan to Shanghai and Suzhou, China, from 20 to 24 May 2014
Minister of State (MOS), Prime Minister's Office and Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth, Mr Sam Tan will visit Shanghai and Suzhou, China from 20 to 24 May 2014. MOS Tan will represent Singapore at the Fourth Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA) in Shanghai. Singapore is participating as a guest of the current CICA Chair. Established in 1992 by Kazakhstan, CICA is an intergovernmental forum dedicated to promoting peace, security and stability in Asia.
While in Shanghai, MOS Tan will meet CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee Standing Committee Member and Pudong Party Secretary Shen Xiaoming. He will also engage Pudong officials in a roundtable discussion. MOS Tan will then travel to Suzhou to attend commemorative activities for the 20th Anniversary of the Suzhou Industrial Park, which includes a concert by the Singapore Chinese Orchestra at the Suzhou Cultural and Arts Centre.
MOS Tan will be accompanied by officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth.
