What we do
To enable the charity sector to flourish, we adopt a robust yet balanced regulatory approach and work with various partners to help charities strengthen their capabilities and governance. We encourage co-regulation and a culture of transparency and accountability. This enables a safe giving environment where everyone can do a part in creating a caring society.

You can check if an organisation is a registered charity and has a valid fund-raising permit, through the Charity Portal (www.charities.gov.sg), or via SMS to 79777.
Latest news
Members of the public can access the Charity Portal for latest news and developments in the charity sector. The portal provides a one-stop resource centre for the public who want to know more about charities in Singapore. It also provides a list of electronic services for charities to submit relevant applications and annual submissions.

The Commissioner of Charities (COC) has published its Annual Report for the year ended 31 December 2024.
Together with the Charity Council, the Office of the COC carried out many initiatives during the year to promote good governance and transparency, and enhance the competencies and capabilities of charities. The COC Annual Report highlights (a) the efforts to maintain a regulatory framework that remains relevant and effective in supporting the good work of our charities, and (b) key statistics on charities.
