Carmen is the Co-founder of Getai Group, an arts and music collective that champions original content and organises festivals, as well as Afterglow, a vegan restaurant that pushes forth a sustainable, plant-based lifestyle.

Within the next decade, Carmen hopes Somerset Belt becomes a place where youths in Singapore, even Asia, can be proud of, and a place where they can bring their friends and family to co- create and grow together.

On top of contributing to the place-making process, curating good concepts for the area and identifying key trends that speak to youths, she aims to help young people realise their passions in the process of curating Somerset Belt. She also hopes to make real connections with the youths that she reaches out to, as she believes that it’s the people who make the place, not the brands or infrastructure.
