Dedric Wong is the General Manager and Assistant Conductor of Ding Yi Music Company, as well as the Conductor of the Asian Cultural Symphony Orchestra and Temasek Polytechnic Chinese Orchestra

After completing his Masters in Orchestral Conducting at the China Conservatory of Music, he has worked closely with the National Arts Council and People’s Association on numerous community projects to bring music to the masses, while making Chinese orchestral music more appealing to youths. He aspires to use his passion for music to inspire youths, and foster intergenerational bonding between youths and older generations.

Through the SG Youth Action Plan, Dedric wants to give youths a greater voice and sense of ownership in the community, so that they can be ready for future challenges. As one of the panellists, he hopes to act as a conduit for the youths’ views and concerns, and work with fellow panellists to find solutions for the issues raised.
