To enable the charity sector to flourish, we adopt a robust yet balanced regulatory approach and work with various partners to help charities strengthen their capabilities and governance. We encourage co-regulation and a culture of transparency and accountability. This enables a safe giving environment where everyone can do a part in creating a caring society.
Members of the public can access the Charity Portal for latest news and developments in the charity sector. The portal provides a one-stop resource centre for the public who want to know more about charities in Singapore. It also provides a list of electronic services for charities to submit relevant applications and annual submissions.

2022 saw the lifting of most COVID-19 restrictions. Charities were able to ramp up their activities and resume more in-person events and activities while embracing renewed connections with volunteers and donors.
Together with the Charity Council, the Office of the Commissioner of Charities (COC) carried out many initiatives during the year to promote good governance and transparency, and enhance the competencies and capabilities of charities. The COC Annual Report also highlights (a) the efforts to maintain a regulatory framework that remains relevant and effective in supporting the good work of our charities, and (b) key statistics on charities.
